The most annoying and persistent issues facing modern cities are Wicked Problems – problems that are difficult or impossible to solve, because of their complex, interconnected nature.

These problems shape our cities and our lives in a myriad of ways because they intersect across the economy, politics, culture, design and urban planning.

I’m a city strategist working in Australia and I love to write about how these systems interact with one another to form the guardrails and incentives that define our cities –and in turn, define the way we live.
